Deer Herd Surveying
Thermal drones are an effective tool in the field of wildlife management, particularly when surveying free ranging deer herds. These drones make it easier to locate and track deer populations in various habitats. By using a thermal drone, our team can gather valuable data on deer movements, population sizes, and behaviors without disturbing the animals or their natural environment. This non-invasive method of surveying deer herds is not only more efficient and cost-effective than traditional surveying methods, but it also provides more accurate and reliable data to analyze and use in conservation efforts. Once we finish with our survey on site, we then return to the office and produce a detailed report with data such as: herd density, buck to doe ratio, locations of deer observed, and images or video of anything interesting or remarkable we might see during the survey.
